Share your Bindrune ideas and designs!

From the commonly known combinations, to the never before seen, this is a place to explore and share and co-create with each other.

Bindrunes are when two or more rune symbols are merged together to create a new symbol. Typically this is done for the purpose of ceremony, a personal charm, blessing, protection, or intention.

Please feel free to share as much as you know, as well as your creative new ideas. Hopefully we can learn a lot from each other and participate in the the ultimate tangible co-creation of making Bindrunes together.

The Runes of Tide that ensure safe travel by sea are given in Poetic Edda. Those are #5 in every aett, namely Raidho, Eihwaz and, quite naturally, Laguz. Those were carved on keel of the ship. I don't think one has to bind them - rather carve them separately.

Could anybody suggest a good combination of runes to  combine for sea travel protection? I have a couple of ideas but would appreciate some experienced council

Hi I live in Brittany in France and celtic art is my "thing" I spend quite a bit of time researching the art which is plentiful here. It is really beautiful to combine the depth of the runes with the celtic symbalism. If anybody is interested I could put some designs up and see how they could be incorporated within the bindrune

Hi Mifien, you've realy got me intrigued as to what you did with the runes that would rebound on you so fiercely.

So far in my ongoing situation I've already used a bind rune but not before casting lots from various traditions as I always do,plus I pay realy close attention to my dreams and observe intently the environment I move through every day,and only when I am abserlutely convinced that this is my wyrd/orlog do I proceed.A blackbird with a white stripe straight down the middle of its back then a black and white raven, for every black feather it had a white one.Definately a raven not a magpie, our eyes met and we shared a moment.Anything in nature that is black and white shamanicaly represents ballance and harmony. These are the kind of portents I look for.I also pray, make offerings and sacrifice.I know when its not meant to be because nothing goes right,I get road raged around every corner,a dog bites me for no good reason, then a wasp stings me and it goes on like that untill I dissist or get the messege.A long while back I was wrestling with should I or should I not employ runes in psycic self defence,17 years ago Buddism colourd my thinking quite a lot plus the wiccan creed if it harm non do what thou wilt. Then someone a lot older and wiser than me said how do you know that your not the karmic trigger fated to take this person out.You are of course right runes are serious business, and trust me brother I only ever use em for anything like this when I am sure.

I figure I must have got something right because I'm still here wondering what allfather one eye's got wating for me around the next corner.

Would love to here your tale of daring and do.

Merth and reverence in equal measure Mifien.Sean.

Sorry Sean, I see you must really be up the creek! Besides living in blessed old UK you have no legal access to firearms... Sorry, I am in no way trying to be cheeky - all I am trying to say: using Runes IS bloody serious - believe someone having spent 7 days in intensive care unit 'tween life and death! Please, please, please try every ordinary way before you resort to something you have no idea how dearly it's going to cost you!

Sean Grint: Regardless of the circumstance, the runes are not going to solve your problems. I'm a newbie and I can tell. So spare us, and yourself.

Hello Mifein!I'm curious.I've been called and labelled many things before but tricky spam has got to be a first.I deliberately kept my text short and to the point, not wanting to give anyone a contextual frame work from which to work from within.I asked for some no nonsense advice and what you gave me was your opinion.Your guess is miles wide of the mark.I joined this community some months back now but havn't communicated with any one yet ,because this situation I am in as you put it is a lot more than someone accidentally stepping on my toe.The last nine months has been a nightmare. And so far has cost me three grand in legal expenses and has devided my family.Guilt remorse and reconciliation is tame, when the majority of people would be invoking the fleas of a thousand camels infest there armpits for all eternity. Please forgive me for coming on strong I'm here to try and make friends. And yes mate I am willing to pay the price. All the best Sean.

To Sean Grint: I can't see you anywhere on this Community so chances are your message is some tricky spam. Nevertheless the trick you suggest performing with the help of bindrunes definitely WILL backfire and I won't be surprised if the recoil breaks your collarbone - in the very least! Using runemagick especially some of it beyond your own understanding in situations like I guess you are trying to master is just like shooting someone dead and burning his/her family alive for having accidentally stepped on your foot! You will probably succeed but are you ready to pay the Price?

Thanks, I'll look into them

The most ancient combination: Kenaz - Isa - Kenaz (kik) every rune repeated several times. there must be a lot about this one on the web, just like about alu (Ansuz-Laguz-Uruz)
