As a member of this Community, your single most important responsibility is to know this Charter.
The runes deserve an honored place on the internet. So treat this digital gathering place like an invisible temple, a sacred book written by many hands. If you give this Community the same love that you would your own shrine, or private journal, I should be very honored indeed.
The Rune Secrets Study Community is a "Thing", and this website its "Thingstead". I, Tyriel, am in the role of the first Lawspeaker. Although this is a virtual assembly -- over a hundred thousand real people from all over the world, in fact from every nation, have accessed the Rune Secrets website in the past, and I expect shall be represented here, among us.
To insure that the Thing doesn't suffer the same fate as many other forums, mailing lists and blogs on the web which have stagnated, died, or been co-opted by other agendas, and to insure that we always remain focused purely on the secular and pragmatic study of the rune symbols themselves, I hereby declare this Charter in hopes that it might serve to govern our assembly in the most fair and beneficial way possible to the interest of all:
Tyriel is the owner and administrator of Rune Secrets.
Rune Secrets is an independent and unaffiliated party.
It is a virtue to remain on topic.
There are no authoritative statements possible.
It is a conversation, not a debate.
The content is not Copyright.
Each individual may have one member account.
You may link to resources outside of Rune Secrets.
Do not ever cause or contribute to conflict on this site.
If you decide to start or continue conversations about these "Zero Tolerance" topics, you will find them deleted. If you persist you will find your account suspended. (Learn more...)
If you hijack my site's peaceful and focused discussions to talk about your religion, your business, your politics, or your race, if you violate my simple wish that all people should be treated as individual human beings, with individual perspectives, then you are treading on very thin ice.
I reserve all rights to revise the Charter.
