Creating your own Staves

I have been reading other posts here and I am wondering if it is wrong of me not to of used wood or stone to create my personal staves? I have used plaster and then painted mine.  Does this matter?I notice that some have used their own blood and semen to paint their staves, is this necessary?See More

I do think that the staining of them is important but  your own blood is just for offering if your doing bindings or magic work with them Red Ochre is the traditional stain.  Know'st how to stain. Ive never heard of seamen for staining ( lol ). But the Staining with your own blood is for more for adding hamingja Force but we add hamingja force when we use the galdrs as we carve the staves. As for the material to use Tradition states wood ,metal, ect ect because the natural matrial has its own hamingja force , So all you can do is try  and use plaster see if it works, i have a terracotta set and they work just fine. Oden be with you
