In Rune Menings Section on this site there is a rather curious discussion of Dagaz and its rather unexpected invisibility application. I have heard/read of other instances when runes acted in ways well outside of their best-known mainstream descriptions. In some cases of course focusing the strength of one's intent through alternative meanings attributed to certain runes can be behind the scenes, but in other situation a different meaning of some certain rune appears to be repeatedly…

I've been trying to establish the trump cards of the tarot to the runes like we talked about and I'm not sure it can be done. It's sort of like the runes address another avenue of trumps. I'm at the point of drawing out all the trumps from the deck and asking for each one, "Which rune matches this card's meaning?" Or, perhaps with the pendulum, spreading them all out and then asking one at a time, "does this card's meaning align with this rune?" etc.

Loclynn said… Yes I can see your point about Eihwaz, but I have worked with this rune many years now and I can tell you that it by it's self is not dangerous. 13 is just 13, what gives it power is you. You are the channel the rune is only the focus.
But having said that lets walk a little ways down the rabbit hole. 13 is the number of the moon and in the northern tradition the moon is masculine. The influence of the moon on gravity/electromagnetism naturally has an effect on all living and non living body's on this planet. Understanding this effect is part and parcel to understanding energy flow. What we have in occult literature is an attempt over the years to give language to these energies.
In a deck of playing cards we see the we see the 52 weeks of the year divided into the four parts seasons. Each having 13 weeks or 13 sevens. Ruffly every four weeks is one lunar month.
Both the rune Jerra and Eihwaz are focal points of this energy. In Eihwaz we see Odin hanged on Yggdrasil the world tree. In many ways this is the liner aspect of time. Jerra is seen as Odin riding on sleipnir the eight legged horse. This is the horse Odin rides through the night sky, it is the spinning time of cycles.
So in the one is liner time and in the other is cyclical time. At the intersection were these two time manifestations meat is the interference pattern we call "Now" This "nowness" is the only true reality. It is were all things happen.
