I've created a small page showing a comparison to the Elder Futhark and the underlying geometry of the Flower of Life. Also, if you count the number of triangles in the matrix, it equals 24, corresponding to the runes. I think Guido was close, but no cigar ...

i just realized while drawing and working with ing that the rune also can be shaped shuffling in 2 kaun runes into each other like < and > make ing....( like a volcanic eruption fertilizing the earth after destruction ) that was a cool insight ;) thought of posting it here....now back to my inguz paper which at this moment still sleeps within a little drawing.
THE RUNES OF THE SECOND AETT OF THE ELDER FUTHARK
FIRST POINT: From HAGALAZ through to SOWILO…
The first rune HAGALAZ is two upstanding lines connected by a downwards crossing line. Imagine pinching the two upright lines together, until they meld into one in the center of the diagonal line, and then you have the second rune NAUDHIZ. Now erase…Continue
I have been using the runes, for only a couple years but I love them! Each rune speaks to me differently and provides different experiences. I thought I would share my experience with Tiwaz and what it has come to mean for me. I would love to know of your experiences, as well!
Tiwaz: Provides me strength and power and lets me know of battles forthcoming.
One day, I drew this rune. Most of the day had gone smoothly and I mistakenly thought there would be no battle. All of a…Continue

Welcome to the first installment of 'Runes as Pictographs'! This part of my blog will be focusing on the way the runes have effected my consciousness on a glyphic, pictographic & characteristic level.
The reason I'm not starting at the beginning of the Futhark is because there seems to be three runes which hold the primary shapes of all other runes. We can explore…Continue
Interlocking Parallels of Multidimensionality
(in the Elder Futhark)

For a long time I was what cold be called a dabbler when it came to runes. I guess I caught someones attention it doing so because according to a friend, one of the messages in my dreams(yeah those again) is to apparently learn divination. That'd probably make it easier for whomever is trying to contact me to do so,
I decided to listen to that interpretation and decided to learn about divination. My first impulse, runes, not quite sure which Futhark I'm going to use exactly but…Continue

Hey there- one of the students in the shaman studies group has seen what looks to be a bind rune or sigil in her dreams- but I can really make it out:
It sort of looks like a Thors hammer and a 't' from the Younger Futhark but even that is a stretch- anyone have any ideas?
In October of last year an idea crossed my mind. I thought of making dice with the Runes of the Elder Futhark. Not the usual 6 sided dice, but three dies of eight sides. That's 3d8 for those of you who have played table top RPGs.
Each d8 represents an Aett of the Elder Futhark. Each die has 24 angles and represents the whole Rune row. Freyr's Aett has the Runes Fehu through Wunjo and the numeric values on the…
