I have been taking my time to write this follow up to Fehu due to getting a major virus and being very sick. I am still not a hundred percent but now that the breathing is back more naturally I can take a chance on this. I feel like I am putting something out and its coming on the physical side. Uruz for me is a lot about that: the physical aspect of things that frequently we perceive through different meanings/concepts (does that make sense in English?). I feel like I need Uruz now, to make…Continue
I have been interested in the Runes for a while but have not worked with them. That is until the beginning of this month.
During a guided meditation in which I was taken to house in the forest to meet my guide I was given two runes. Fehu and Elhaz were inscribed into my right…Continue
The first rune of the free rune course, Fehu, drew a lot of interest, and reached 67 replies. I hope everyone had a chance to read through them. I'd love to see more questions appear in the comments from those of us newer to the runes, because questions always provoke more responses.
My stated objective for this site was always that I would like to make it a space for others to 'take…Continue

I have stumbled across some mentions of Fehu being able to grant a wish or to help to achieve some goal, but I have never seriously considered it. And voilà - I've been just meditating on this rune for a couple of days (not even wearing it with me as an amulet), and suddenly things start turning the way I needed. It is by no means free: I do pay with something for what I get. Still, that's an interesting effect.
Ok, I am going to step out of my comfort zone here and right something about Fehu. A little afraid I might sound silly because this is not my first language and I know there are a LOT of people here that know more about runes than I do. But the fact that as I write that I hear the sound of very close thunder nearby makes me feel encouraged to go on since I feel Thor is with me.
Enough rubbish let's start this since Fehu is exactly about beginnings. How do I feel about this rune?…Continue
I recently wrote about Hahalruna and El-Mushajjar, showing how the Arabic tree writing was a perfect port of Norse hahalruna (cipher runes) into Arabic writing. While writing that article I became aware of a very similar Persian cipher called Khatt-i-Shajari (Tree writing). Just as the Germanic people devised many variations based on the concept behind hahalruna (iisruna, lagoruna,…Continue
After having a…conversation...?? with my rune set that I had, really I am not sure how else to describe it, I knew that I was at a place where I needed to make another set. The “me” that made the previous set is a very different “me” than I am today. I had previously carved them in stone, and now I was being drawn to do them in wood, though I wasn’t sure what wood and all of that. I have also been wrestling with making a new set, because I was very sentimentally attached to my previous…Continue

First and for most, this is not the first blog about runic opposites and the correlation of each individual rune meaning to it's seemingly polarized other. Vethorr has written a nice blog called …Continue
Before I start writing about the runes, let me tell you from what perspective I will do so.
I was drawn to the runes as a system of magickal energies. I feel that working with archetypal energies is a wonderful way of exploring myself, the fundamental energies of the world, and play with my creative power. Another thing I have to mention is that I am new to the runes, so my views are very much in development and will probably change over time. I am…

Water is the second force of nature in the creation myth of the Norse-Germanic people. This force flows from Nifelheim, a cold region where water & venom flow and form both frost & freezing rain. These waters flow out from Nifelheim in the form of eleven rivers…Continue
