I have not seen this in the literature, but it came to me after writing my last book, and the thought was resurrected while writing the narrative of the murkstaves in this new book, "Questioning the Runes". What I found was that each rune was able to be described in terms of the runes to its immediate right and left. I believe this to be possible with any rune combination.
My chapter would consist of 552 such demonstrations, and I will give an example in this blog post of what I mean. I don't think I could do triads, because that would mean 12144 interpretations. What I think I can do with the 552 though, is train the reader to be able to loosen the imagination so that it assists in readings and in coming up with bind runes.
Let's begin with Fehu,
Fehu + Uruz: Domestication of the wild, the wild hidden within the herd, the cost of health.
Fehu + Thurisaz: Profitable technological innovation, overcoming group pressures through strategy, the dormant force of mass society.
Fehu + Ansuz: Propaganda, advertising, public speaking, wealth generated through writing.
Fehu + Raidho: a change in path, mass migration, cost of travel, self-ruled society.
Fehu + Kenaz: Public education, income through art, new discoveries.
Fehu + Gebo: Profitable gift giving, indebtedness, new trade opportunities, microeconomics.
Fehu + Wunjo: The joy of being part of the herd or group, safety in numbers.
This is just the first Aett combined with Fehu, and I would need to think them over carefully. But you can see how useful this would be for getting more accurate readings and learning the 'flow' of brainstorming such combined meanings.
I hope this excites you about my new book, and if you want to see a chapter like this, make sure to support my Kickstarter fundraiser when I launch it, so that I can get the book to you as soon as humanly possible.
Let me know what you think, also if you feel like coming up with other combinations in the comments, go ahead! It's a lot of fun and useful for everyone.
